Just a reminder, DUI Dog day's are in full swing at the Portland Brownstone park this weekend. Today was reserved for Public service divers, but tomorrow is open for all, as well as Sunday! DUI runs a hell of a program, and if you have never been dry, there will never be a better time to try it out. They have an impressive layout with more drysuits than you could imagine! Well trained personal will help you through the whole process, are more than friendly, and happy to help out. Food is on site for those attending, and you are sure to have a great time.

Be there or be square!!!!!!!!

Is there an admission fee for this event even if you are mnot diving. I may want to stop by on my bike Saturday and dive Sunday.

Also is there any plans to have weekend passes.

Just got home from the Demo Days. It was a great time for all, I would have to say. Nature tried her darndest to put a damper on the morning, but even the guys in rainslickers had nothing on we in the drysuits. And, we looked much sexier.

Thanks to anyone from Brownstone who's reading this for the weekend. The site is great and looks to get even better. You even start not to notice the liquid asphalt smell, especially when you're down at 55' testing your regs anti-freeze capabilities.

If you haven't dove the site yet, go try it. The vis isn't the greatest, but it's not bad. 20' on a decent day, 10' in the afternoon after the silt gets kicked up. Vis after rain sucks in spots, but that's anywhere. Sightseeing is decent and improving constantly, there's abundant fishlife, and some elusive American Eels (look for them hiding around the buoy cans under the platforms). The water's decent down to 25' (65-70), then drops nicely to a balmy 40-45 down to 60' where it bottoms out in the high 30's low 40's. Besides the cold, though, it's a great dive if you can't get to the ocean or if you just want to get out and tool around for the day.

All in all, though, it was a great time this weekend, and the DUI and Brownstone staffs did a heck of a job.
