DUI will be there and Haigh Quarry is hosting a Scuba Swap Meet. Sounds like a lot of fun.

When you are at Haigh check out the raffles in the Office. The proceeds all go to the Shedd Aquarium Volunteer Equipment Fund. Many local Dive Centers and manufacturers are donating goods and services to be raffled off between now and Sunday, July 20th. Prizes will be awarded at the Jim Haigh Memorial Dive.
I am donating, to be raffled, one of each of the following courses:
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
PADI Enriched Air
Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care
Included in these courses are the crew packs, manuals, DVDs and PADI Certification Cards where they are applicable. All courses will be conducted at Haigh Quarry. Entrance fees, air and equipment rental are at the students expense.
Help the folks who volunteer at the Shedd! Get your tickets early and often.:D

Sorry, I did get the date for the Swap Meet mixed up, it is June 29th. AND the staff has been so busy with the mermaids and everything they did not have the raffle jars set up yet today. Ben sez it's his job to get them out this weekend.

Dean spotting today at Haigh Quarry..I caught him stealing hamburgers and hot dogs from the DUI area. He was selling them for $2.00 a piece at the far end of the quarry.

Dui did a great job fitting my 12 year old with a dry suit and working with him. He had a ball trying it out. thanks for all the help, keep it up.

I'm not sure if it was a DUI crew person taking some divers for a test dive on the drysuit or an instructor with an actual class....

but this one dude was telling all his students to only use the BCD on the surface and just use the drysuit underwater. I had to look back at him like W T F....

I almost got turned away from drysuit diving because of this and finally someone showed me the light...
