Hi all,

I have a stainless steel, single-tank BP/W setup from Deep Sea Supply, which I dearly love and recommend to anyone. I want to build a warm-water back plate harness, and I know that the best solution would be a light-weight DSS plate. However, I don't have that kind of cash right now. (The price of a DSS Kydex plate buys you almost four Dive Rite Aluminum back plates!)

Thing is, I don't want to use a STA. Does anyone know if a Dive Rite plate works reasonably well with a DSS wing?

Wow the things I learn here blow my mind. I just emailed DSS for the cost to send me thier plate to Canada. I tried my dss wing on my Apeks plate and no go for a fit. So I am excited that a dss wing will fit a diverite backplate. This will save me a lot of money and time. Thanks for that. kevin

......a second confirmation.
A DSS wing will fit a Dive Rite AL plate.
As Mikemill says the cam straps are a close fit in the square cutouts but that keeps the wing centered and in place without the rubber buttons.

I'm planning on ordering a DSS SS BP/W today and I'm thinking, if a DSS wing fits on a DiveRite AL Plate - then a DSS wing will probably fit a TransPac. Right?

Maybe I'll keep my TransPac for warmer water - if I ever get there from California..
