So I just got a used drysuit and I'm interested in finding more information about the valves. Unfortunately, the owner's manual doesn't explain disassembly of the valves for cleaning/repair and they're just different enough for me to want to get an "exploded" view of them before I do anything stupid. Anyone know where I can get info? The suit is a DUI TLS350 made in 1999.

Have you done a Google search for dry suit valves ? I remember seeing a diagram of a DUI dump valve in a sight I had been to while looking for a high flow dump valve, to replace the one on my DS that does not dump fast enough. I had looked through a lot of differant sights and gotten a lot of good information on defferant brand / styles GOOD LUCH

Are they SiTech or Apeks valves? I have a photo essay on the Dive Matrix forum on how to take apart a SiTech dump valve.

Lynne, I'm assuming they're SiTech valves though I'm not sure since the current model comes with Apeks. Is there an easy way to tell the difference?

EDIT: I found the post on dive matrix. I just want to be sure I can futz with these if I need to...

EDIT 2: I also found this for the Apeks dump valve...

Do you have a link to the essay? I have a So Tech dump valve that needs to be taken apart to clean some sand out of it.
Thanks

This is an old thread but the div matrix link appears to be dead. Does anyone still have the original photos and willing to share the disassembly instructions for the si-tech valve? Thanks!

I understand you can probably still access the pages through the way back machine, but I don't know precisely how that is done. I wish I had known that DMX was going down -- I would have pulled several nice informational threads off it to archive.
