Does anyone know if its safe to use ArmorAll car stuff on the outside of my latex wrist seals to keep them nice?

I can't give you a difinative answer, but, around our family automotive store ArmorAll was always said to degrade some types of materials by drying them out. In particular I remember it was not advised to use the stuff on leather products. Maybe somebody else can advise you on wether or not latex is prone to this type of damage.

Steve.

I would not advise using armor all.If for anything it can make seal replacement difficult later on due to the armorall contaminating the area of the suit where the seal will be glued to it.More than likely the glue wont bond properly to the material after being treated with armorall.Besides there is a chance the armorall may degrade your seals.

The best thing is to clean your seals with a mild cleaner like baby shampoo and use talc powder to coat the seals after they dry.

Stay away from anything aerosol, there may be aeromatics lurking.
As mentioned already, a mild detergent followed by talc is the recommended method.
Always be sure to rinse very thoroughly, as soap + oil = something that eats rubber.

McNett (of Aqua Seal fame) makes a product called Seal Saver, has a UV inhibitor in it, & probably some silicone. I use a lot of the stuff.

Odd as it may seem, some suit materials can be literally soaked in silicone & still have a perfect glue job afterwards.
