I’ve started attempting to replace my own wrist seals. My first attempt went well enough, I was dry through my first dive, but the tape on top of the seal came off during the dive. I used the tape and glue from dive gear express. I re-glued it after hitting it with some sand paper to rough it up and hopefully get a better stick.

What tape is everyone else using? I’ve seen some textured tape that looks like it might adhere better. Thanks!

Thanks! This is what I was looking for.

Skip the seal tape and instead install the Si-Tech QCS oval wrist ring system....while you're at it, install their Quick Neck neck ring system too and you will not need to Faff with gluing seals again.

I have wanted to do that but assumed it would be prohibitively expensive. I just looked them up though and they are $100 each which really isn’t bad considering I just bought $100 worth of seals, glue, and tape. This drysuit has some age on it and I’ve been considering upgrading, so I haven’t wanted to invest too much in it. I’ll probably limp it along until I work up the nerve to splurge on a better suit. Thanks for the tip though!

Edit to add I went through Seaskin's order form last night and it was only $60 additional to add the SI-Tech QCS Oval system. Definitely will be going this route when I order my suit.

And Seaskin has brilliant postage prices too

And if you slather the neck ring in Aquaseal

You can replace one in your Whites Fusion

Yes, I was shocked when I checked out and shipping was only $4 fro across the pond!

Aquaseal is the duct tape of the diving community. With enough of it you can fix almost anything!

Except neoprene
