Hi.

I am in the process of moving to Chapel Hill from Boston and will be down for good in Aug. I need to get my dry suit repaired and figured I ought to do it before it gets cold in the winter. Can anyone recommend a shop in the RTP area who deals with drysuits? I need a new zipper. I have a DUI 50/50. Also, I will have tanks due soon for hydros and VIPs--any shop better than another for that? thanks. I look forward to diving with you all soon.

There was a guy named ScubaDave who did repairs locally. He closed his dive shop, so I'm not sure if he still does repairs or not. Any local shop will know who scubadave is if you ask them.

Most divers send their suits to Superior or Steve Gamble for big things like zippers.

Airtech, in Raleigh, 919-255-1888 can handle it as well as most any other equipment repair and servicing. Talk to Al. They can handle the hydro and VIP. You can save some cash by contacting Pye-Barker Fire and Safety 919-779-4010 directly for that service also. Takes them about 2 days.
