Something I never see discussed here are the drysuit neck rings some divers roll their neck seals over while on surface intervals. Has anyone tried/used/uses one? My latex neck seal is usually quite comfortable out of the water, but every now and again I wish there was some way to relieve the pinch somewhat between dives.

I used one once, with my USIA suit (came with the suit). more effort than it's worth. The seal isn't that uncomfortable (or shouldn't be) and if I'm out of the water for an extended period, I take the top half of the suit off.

I always get out of the seals between dives.

I don't need them... and if your neck seal is properly trimmed you probably don't either.

My suggestion is to pull your head out of your suit during the SI anyway to let the moisture from perspiration evaporate. You will be warmer on your second dive if you do.
