Lots of good info here...

My new CLX450 will be here Monday!! anyway, going to Key Largo in Feruary, looks like I will be hitting WallMart for some undies...

I was wondering how many funny looks I would get on the boat diving dry... :06:

My last trip to Key Largo was in June, and a cave diver was on the boat in full regalia, doubles, canister lights, drysuit, the works. We looked at him a little funny at first, but he sure was impressive! Bottom line for him was that was the gear he was comfortable with. He was weighted properly and trim and it didn't pay for him to switch back in forth. He was comfortable in the water, even at 80+ degrees.

I wouldn't worry about the funny looks. I get that from the t-shirt and swim suit guys when they see me diving with a wetsuit! But I have never been "too" warm in the water, and I doubt you will be either in your drysuit.

I'm with you, Dean.

I've seen countless numbers of the "t-shirt and cut-off" divers come up from a 100' dive in the Gulf of Mexico in the middle of the summer looking like Pa-Pa Smurf and sit out the second or third dives.

probably a few before the dive, but not so many after while they are all shivering in the wind ;)
