I have never been to galapagos but consider this

Tech divers in the Philippines wear drysuit. Just thin undergarment
A dry suit can be dove anywhere just by adjusting undergarments. Only challenge for me is the air temperature which makes diving dry not very pleasant in hot weather. I decided to stop being lazy and dive dry everywhere to get to the same skill level I have with wet suits.
