I maintain my own Apeks valves with standard inflator fittings and longer hoses routed under the left arm, with both singles and doubles.

It is a good idea to have common fittings for bcd and suit.
I think there is a fitting option for all suit inflators.
I have never had airflow issues with standard hoses, even for
breathing through alternate regulators with standard QDs.


The only issue I have had with disconnection is when I forget and the gear pulls me backwards over the tailgate and into the tray of the ute
sort of.


Just happy to remember to disconnect, and connect is probably far more important.
