Hi

Can anyone recommend a hood to use with a drysuit which
has a neoprene neck, something with a bit of extra space
around the neck.

Thanks

Not quite sure what youre doing here - you arn't trying to seal the hood over the neck seal?

Just about every hood ive ever seen fits with a neo neck seal without modification.

If really desperate you could try one of the bib-type hoods which would have more space in the bottom. Failing that, just cut a normal hood down to the right length.

One of the best dry hoods I ever used was a Bare dry hood. Sometimes though I use a Henderson Hyperstretch hood over a thermo ice face hood. That works great but it can get twisted if it isn't on just right.
Henderson USA - Henderson

Not sure he's after a dry-hood though, merely a hood that works with a drysuit.

Henderson wont be any use either - not aware of a single dealer outside america.

BelDiver,
I agree with String and I use a neoprene neck seal - a standard Beaver or other brand should be sufficient - are we missing something?

Mares used to pack a hood with their semidrys suits with a non-bibbed, neoprene neck seal. Look for an Isotherm Mares hood. That might be what you are looking for.

I just got a Otterbay custom drysuit hood and cant say enough good things about it. It was the best $85 I have spent. Well worth it. They customized the neckseal as well to fit my DUI drysuit

I really enjoy the Whites hood I purchased last year. If you are looking for something with more room in the neck, try a hood with a zipper that you can leave partially unzipped for that extra room you are looking for. The Whites hood has a zipper as well as others on the market.

The Bare dry hood is economical, comfortable and worked well for me at 34 F. i LOVE IT.
