I have two female dive buddies with long, thick hair who swear that zippers on hoods are the greatest thing since regulators.

Dang, not having an attached hood on a suit is sort of like wearing a raincoat with the hood down. You could be dryer & warmer.

Maybe for my next suit, but having gotten married recently I don't know how soon that'll be (even though she's a diver too!)
 
I tried on both and prefered the one without, didn't like the bunched uped material down the back of my head plus I felt like my mask fit better.
