Hello to all,

Question about drysuit alterations. Have the option of replacing my old drysuit with my friends brand new backup , which is unused DUI 450 CLX. Heavy discount from him.

Question is that I measure into a XL Short and his is an XL. Can a proper alteration be made to shorten this suit?

yes, but should be sent to someone qualified to make said alternations. Your best bet is to schedule a family vacation to Florida and have the people at StayDri or Gamble measure/cut/fix. Can't go wrong with either of them

As T-Bone has already stated...Steve Gamble in FLA is excellent...box it up and ship it to him...or...box it up with all your required dimension information and ship it directly to DUI in San Diego...they have an on-line form on their web site for this purpose...

DUI extended the inseam on my DUI CF200 Signature series suit which included new soft feet...full suit inspection and leak testing was included... excellent work...

Look at Seaskin in the U.K. and you may find that you can get a full custom suit for nearly the the cost of the alterations, factor in the cost of the DUI and you’ll be far ahead.

The basic Seaskin trilam is about $650 (and still made to measure). Mine has just about every option and it was about $1100.

I would take a new Seaskin over a DUI every day of the week.
