looking for a pair of reasonably priced drygloves - either cuff&ring or with the latex seal. prefer removable liners and reasonable price. need to pick up by the 28th. any suggestions?

I presume you're in Ontario.

TAM Dive Peterborough, sells both the Sci-tek (BARE) and Nordic Blue dry glove systems. They 're on Lansdowne St West in Peterborough 705-748-3483

pm me if you want directions.

regards

I got mine at Dan's in St. Catharines. I know Dive Tech has them in Mallorytown - actually, I don't KNOW that for a fact, but I would be confident putting money on it - and now that BARE has gotten into the act, quite a few smaller shops are selling them as well.

Dive Tech does indeed have the Bare si-tech gloves - picked up replacement gloves + lining coupld weeks ago. My old gloves met too many zebra mussles

How are the Si-Tech gloves? I have a pair of the Nordic Blue gloves which I finally figured out (don't ask - how does one use gloves improperly, you might ask??) as they were flooding on me. They worked fine on the dive at the Morrison Sunday, but after almost an hour in the water, my fingers were getting a bit numb.

I've been using them all season - including in the summer

Marvintpa has Scaana ones (similar to Diving Concepts blue gloves) - it looks like a more secure conncetion compared to Si-Tech, but mine fared really well on the deep dives

What i really like about Si-Tech is that the lining and gloves are separate - i can put a different lining for the winter (just bought seemless thinsulate gloves to use as lining). and i could use lighter lining in the summer

I could not be happier with mine

Si Tech is making some new gloves for Viking, the critters lock in place using a bayonet - style lug with about a 1.5" rotation. & you can even use a "safety pin" to make sure they can't become unlatched when you're diving in that sewage treatment pond or nuke reactor. :eyebrow:
They're much better than the "handwheel" type.

I think you just reach a time of year when more warmth is required...
Last Wednesday my hands were fine, Sunday my fingers were cold too. Was the same water temp only longer - right?
Let me know if you find a set that provides better thermal protection.
Hey... tell Santa about them too will ya? lol
