Hi from Des Moines, Iowa

Yes Virginia, there is diving here in Iowa. Rivers, lakes, rock quarries, and sand pits. Some commercial diving on the Mississippi, and the usual search and recovery work. I came across this looking for dive knife info and design, and it reminded of the time enjoyed on the East and West coasts of Florida, 40 years ago. It's great too see so many people sharing information this way-when I was in Florida only rich people had computers, if at all. Then again, my wife's granmother left NE Kansas in a covered wagon in 1916 with her new husband to go to the Nebraska Sandhills, and lived long enough to see man on the moon and the Space Shuttles. I hope this sport sees those same kinds of changes, and that even more can enjoy it.

Welcome to ScubaBoard!

Dry water diver, huh? I guess you dive dehydrated water. I think I did that in my garage when assembling my new gear. Some would say my garage qualifies as a wreck, so it's dry water wreck diving, right? ;)

Don't forget to fill out your profile, so that we can add context to your future posts.
