Thank you all for your posts. I guess I will look around and try on different models. We have DUI right here in So Cal, so that is a plus. There are a couple of shops that carry Bare. I will also take a look at Mobey and some others. Sometimes God's gifts can be troublesome! ....grins I think that is why I am getting so cold lately, for my 7mm is way too big on the bottom, but barely fits properly on top. Ugh....

If you live in So. Cal. check out JMI. They are in Torrance and
make custom wetsuits. For maybe $100 they can modify a stock
wetsuit. Maybe if your wetsuit fit you it would be warm. With the water now over 60 in some places a well fitting 7mm wet suit
may be enough. Certainly less cost involved. It might be worth a try
even if you do get a drysuit

Give the OS Systems Front Entry models of drysuits a try. The way they are designed is absolutely perfect for busty women or body builder types with big upper torsos. The front entry zipper is actually a large, very forgiving pouch on the front of the suit that you lay down flat against the belly and it is out of the way for the rest of the dive. My wife is rather busty and I am just plain "Fatso" and the front entry works GREAT for us!

Oh, and YES ... I do work for OS.

Just my $.02

I know that this is a little off topic, but it made me laugh when someone posted it the other day.

I have been very pleased with both my USIA (www.usia.com) Aqua Pro Plus with Exotherm II undergarments. Very easy to put on and take off. I requested a relief zipper. They ship off the shelf sizing as well as custom fits. From my experience, customer service is excellent, and they will walk you through the fitting.

If you've got the money, go Signature Series DUI. I messed about for a while with a cheaper drysuit, then finally made the jump to a customized DUI suit. I probably would have saved myself money and aggravation in the long run by buying the customized suit in the first place.

Whatever you get, go custom. DC doesn't make a true custom suit, they take measurements and peice a suit together fromt he closest STOCK sizes. DUI makes a true custom, and if you get measured correctly- it will fit cherry. Be warned, you will pay for that cherry fit, but it is worth every penny (I own 2).

I've been trying to decide between a DC and a DUI and feel I have done my homework in investigating the two which is why I was really surprised by your comment that between the two only DUI does a true custom fit. You've got it backwards! DC does the custom work while DUI will make a SP or SS suit for you "...from one of over 150 patterns in each drysuit seires..." (quoated the DUI catalog). So far I've had a number of non DUI dealers tell me this (which could be understandable), and at my local DUI shop they wouldn't deny it, and only said that they would check on it. Maybe the competition is lying to me, and maybe the DUI salespeople don't really know, and maybe I misunderstand what is written in the DUI catalog, but MAYBE all this misinformation isn't just a coincident! I could be wrong, but the point is "Buyer Beware", if anybody has any questions on things like this first check with the dealer, and then check with the manufacturer. One thing I have found out in my research on DUI is that in the vast majority of the cases they appear to be very responsive to customer and potential customer inquiries.

The DUI website has a factory closeout section which includes custom suits that are for sale at reduced cost. You might have luck finding something in your size there. Here’s a link: http://www.dui-online.com/newsite/fr.htm

If you are going to get a neoprene suit, get it custom cut for you. If you go for a bag suit ( which is a bit cooler, until you figure out the under garments ) you can just buy off the rack ( so to speak ) but which ever way you go just make sure you don't ware cotton or any other fabric that holds moister as an undersuit. Synthetic undergarments are what you want under your drysuit to keep you warm.

I know this is a big off topic, but I'd feel guilty if I noticed a discussion including difficulty finding a wetsuit that fits if I failed to mention that I was about to think that struggling into an ill fitting wetsuit made diving hardly worth it until I discovered Henderson Hyperstretch. Whew, that was a long sentence. At least I won't have to endure the guilt.
