I somehow managed to damage my zipper during or before a dive yesterday. Upon inspection, I found that the rubber seal around some of the teeth had torn on one side. The missing area is about 1/4 inch long and located about an inch from the fully closed position. I was hoping there may be a temporary solution to this problem as I need to dive for the next few weekends. A dab of Aquaseal or rubber sealant in the tear?? The leak is relatively minor and I could probably put a Depends next to the leak to get me by until I can send the suit out for repair (was going to change wrist and neck seals next month anyway).

I can post a photo of the area later.

Any opinions or suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks!!

Thin down some aquaseal to a runny consistancy using Cotol and lightly brush it over the damaged area. Allow to dry thoroughly (12-24 hrs) before closing zipper. Repair will last somwhere between 1 minute and forever.
