Dry suit zipper maintainance?

I tried a search and read several pages of dry suit threads and couldn't find the answer.

I just bought a neoprene drysuit(used). It appears to be in good condition however the zipper is very hard to move although doesn't seem to be any damage.

My question is, what is proper care and maintainance of these zippers?

Dry suit zippers are hard to move - it's the way they are. (If it's hard to move for a drysuit zipper then it's really hard to move)
I believe beeswax is the best maintenance/lubricant for them. You can get beeswax at any craft store where they sell candle-making stuff.

Beeswax is good news--I just happen to have 4 or 5 lbs of it. Thanks for the info.

Also make sure that no "foreign" material (your undies, hair, etc) get stuck in the zipper. This can cause a leak and over time lead to additional wear and tear.
