Hi guys,

Now, I know this is a complicated question - but I'm starting to feel the chill of winter, especially on deeper dives, so I'm beginning to consider a dry suit. It seems like there's so much information on the topic out there, but I'd like to get some real opinions from real divers. :)

So, I'm purely a rec diver at the moment, but am planning on doing some tech training over the next 12 months, so I'd like whatever I purchase to be good for all that (deep, cold, wrecks). Plus planning on diving in NZ. I'm still using BCD rather than backplate/wings, if that matters.

So, um, crushed neo vs trilam? Front vs rear entry? Brands? Undersuits?

I'm actually going to the states in a couple of weeks, so if there is an option to save some serious money by purchasing there, please let me know!

Thanks in advance,
Simon

Very opened ended questions........

Surf SB and look for prior posts.......

I just bought this drysuit.......

Whites Catalyst 360 Drysuit reviews and discounts, Whites

Upgrading from a compressed neoprene TUSA suit that has served me well for the past 7 years....

I wanted more options to layer undergarments which is where a shell suit has the advantage over a neoprene suit......

I also wanted self donning........

The Whites Fusion seems to a very popular drysuit.......it is innovative.......

DUI's reputation for quality, durability and product range is impressive......they seem expensive......but in the long run if you dive enough that might not be a concern......

Hope this helps......M
