Hi. I am coming down to NC for a visit over Columbus day weekend and am trying to get on a charter. Any recommendations? We are going to be visiting my sister in law in the Jacksonville NC area.

My second question is we are in the process of moving and I can find my drysuit, but can't find my wetsuit, so I will bring down my drysuit. What is the water temp in NC now? I figure I probably don't need all the thermal protection I use in MA.

Thanks.

Your best bet will be the Morehead City area (you will be close). Lots of good ops there. Check out Olympus. Drysuit should be ok, but wear thin undies. Water temps will be in the high 70's/ low 80's.

Its a split either way, from Jacksonville you are not far from Wilmington, actually a little closer and could dive from one of several ops there. Dry suit is good this time of year. I agree, thermals but not a thick underwear.
