Ive tried dry gloves with a wrist seal and really dont like them. A real PITA to self-don and doff and you need to be careful their latex seal isnt overlapping with your drysuit wrist seal and so on.

Im back to 5mm semi-dry neoprene gloves and numb fingers as a result.

You could possibly try the 3 fingered mitts which are popular in scandanavia.

My hands don't really get that cold in 40°F+ water, but I know people that love their dry gloves. The only thing that has edged me away from them are the people I have seen wringing our their underwear at the arms because they had a leak problem. How common are leaks with the zip seals?

Zip seals are terrible... don't let DUI fool you into thinking they've perfected them... they have not! Use the Henderson dry gloves and be happy : )

Mine work. Although I didn't have a choice because they came with my used suit. I can only speak for the wrist seals. I don't have them on the neck. But, what issues have you had with them?

I have never had any problems related to the zip feature. I tore a neck seal once, and had my watch put a hole in my wrist seal once. Neither problem was the fault of the seal itself.

I can tell you that it was very nice to be able to (almost) instantly replace the seal(s) with my back up(s), and continue diving. So I ordered the same for the wife’s suit. She has used zip gloves until now, and the only downfall was that she had to wear the gloves constantly while the suit was on. Now she a removable ring set up too.

I am also curious to hear about the problems that you (or others have) had with the zip seals. Was it the glove, or the zip portion of the seal that you had issues with?

I can't say that I do much in way of lobstering, but I have to agree with pt40fathoms. Around here, water temps are in the mid-low 30s, and once you go dry, there's no going back. I use the SI-Tech ring system with the nordic blue gloves, and have no dexterity problem. Just make sure you get the proper size, and with a bit of practice, you won't look back. Switching back and forth from my stage bottles is not an issue.

Myself and a couple buddies had DUI zip seals... all of us had leaks during the 2nd season... the zips would for some reason just seperate... anyone else familiar with this problem? Even our local DUI dealer doesn't recommend getting the seals on the suits...

If then, is the problem covered by DUI warranty? I also have a zipseal option. I really like it so far....

How many dives did you have on the zip seals when the leaking started?

I'll keep an eye out for this. But, so far, so great for me and Zip seals.
