My current drysuit has zip seal ring on it, so zip gloves is a obvious option. My dive buddy also suggest dive concept ring system. I have very little experience with zip glove and no experiece with dive concept.

Zip glove is simple, but I am not too excited about the suit-on = glove-on idea. Also I wonder if the additional wrist seal inside dry glove (dive concept) is a pro or con. It seems it can be a 2nd barrier against leaky gloves, but it also seems to post a equalization problem.

I want to heard what you guys think about these two options

DUI has all 3 options

dry gloves
dry gloves with wrist dam (i.e. wrist seal inside glove)
SI-5 tech ring system

I have dry gloves (non WD) and they work well. I know some fellow divers that have the ring system, and I see pros and cons. If I were to get a new dry suit, or had some extra cash that I needed to get rid of, I would probably go with the SI-5 tech ring system.

pros:
1. removing gloves during surface intervals or when getting ready, without removing dry suit.
2. quicker to swap out wrist seals for dry gloves

cons:
1. the ring is a larger diameter, making it difficult to put on bungee attached devices (computer, compass, etc.)

You can mount the DC rings on the zip seals. Best of both worlds. I'd HATE not being able to take the gloves off...

I found the Zip gloves to be a total pain the butt...I HATED having to keep my hands in the gloves on the surface. Some people get used to it...I didn't!

I am used to it, but find most of the time, I want to take the upper part of my drysuit off anyway (but generally not during ice dives lol)

However, on more than one occasions, I have had to ask for help doing something that is very difficult with gloves on (e.g. changing an o-ring in a tank valve). This is why I said, next time I will be going with the rings, but it is not enough of a big deal for me to switch now.

That being said, where do I find rings that fit on top of my zip seals? Also, does it make the sleeve excessively long?

I would take a look at the Si-Tech quick clamp dry gloves. You can leave them on or off and donning/doffing them takes no more than 10 seconds.

To get them in: put the dry glove liners on and get your hands through the wrist seals. Having the liners in first will allow the glove to equalize. Then put the glove on and squeeze. Once the glove is all the way in you are ready to go. Do not forget to unwind the doffing mechanism so it is closest to the tip of the glove before putting it on.

To get the glove off: Wind that same mechanism towards the cuff of the suit and it will pop off.

Very simple and versatile, I love mine except for the fact the glove is too large.

How well does DC system work? in terms of putting the gloves on and off, and how about equalizing the gloves?

It's the best of the rings systems, IMO. A pain to first mount the rings, but after that, it's easy to snap them on and off between dives. Very secure system. You equalize like any other ring system (i.e. bungees or tubing).

I love the fact that I can put my drysuit on but have my hands free until I'm ready to hit the water. I recommend the SI gloves!
