DR manifold/valve compatibility?

Are DR tank manifolds/valves compatible/interchangeable with other makes?

I have two DR doubles manifols and am interested in changing back and forth between doubles and H-valve setups. As I occasionally run across used tanks and parts It would help to know what is compatible.

I have read of people using DR and SeaElite valve parts/kits interchangeably. Also, are Blue Steel and DR manifolds/valves interchangeable? I have heard they are both made in Italy (same manufacturer?).

Dear Vicp,

Compatibility is not 100%. You can easily test H valve compatibility by matching plugs - if the plugs work in both our valves and the H valve , then you have a match. The crossbar lengths are the area of difference, even when manifolds appear to be the same as this can affect the cylinder spacing and tank bands. We have changed crossbar lengths when changing suppliers.

Sea Elite and Dive Rite should be compatible (along with Thermo), but you'll want to test to be certain. We do not have the same valve as Blue Steel, but that doesn't mean they aren't compatible - again, you'll have to test.

In my experience, the dive rite and sea elite are indeed interchangable, but the blue steel isolator has a courser thread count....
