I'm piecing together my first doubles rig, twin Faber 72's (shorties, so ~28.7 lbs each). Then there's the weight of the manifold and bands (?), one set of regs (I will use an old J valve manifold), and a 4lb SS backplate. I will mainly dive a TLS350 trilaminate drysuit with 200g thinsulate. I weigh 140 lbs.

Can anyone tell me how much lift I should have in my wing? And any wing recommendations that would work esp well with a twin set of short 72's would also be most welcome.

Thank you!

Using the halcyon evolve 40 for twin alum 80's with a SS plate. Then twin steel 100's with the alum plate. Anything over 100's I'm looking at a bigger wing.

Your best bet is to call Tobin at DeepSeaSupply.

He'll walk you through the procedure for determining your lift needs. Then, do yourself a favor and buy a wing from the man.

Good advice. I already bought a small singles wing from him. Great little wing.
