I have a(n) Halcyon plate that is doing the same thing. Maybe they're all rigged by scheming webbing salesmen. Don't do anything rash.

Deep Sea Supply, won't have to worry about it... Injection molded fittings on the SS plates and on the Kydex, there is no abrasion against the SS...

I dive HOG D1s/D2s. From 39F on up, cave, wreck, or open ocean, they perform flawlessly. Used to be you could get two sets for $400. I think it's about $500 now.
