Is it possible to modify the Express Tech to carry double AL80's? Aside from changing out the wing, what other modifications may be required?

Yes, the Express Tech can use twin tanks. The video we have on mounting twins to the Ranger BC also applies to this situation, so I'll link that below.

You'll want the following items...

  • Stainless steel tank bands
  • Bolt kit
  • Bladder Attachment Straps (p/n 7281M)

Of these only the Bladder Attachment Straps are Zeagle specific items, the other items could be from other sources.

Are the twin cylinder mounting plates required? I would assume so, but they were no mentioned.

You could technically go without them, the Express Tech's backplate is a little stiffer than what you'd find on a Ranger which will distribute the weight better. Since the Express Tech is considered a backplate already its hard for me to push them as a necessary item to run twins. I would defer to folks that have used the Express Tech BC with twins as to whether or not they feel they would improve the performance at all.
