It sounds like the OP got them already manifolded but independent doubles to experiment is my plan.

D'oh….thanks, I lost site of that making my way through the responses. At any rate, IF one were considering to manifold tanks, it is a good idea to try them as independent doubles first….sorry for the confusion.

I have a set and love them.

Great for putzing about in the lake when dry suit diving.

Kraken, do you have any advice for keeping them trim?

Spectrum, please keep us posted as to your success/experience. It might be two weeks before I can get in the water with them.

Couv, speaking of D'oh, I wouldn't have been able to see outside of the box if you hadn't mentioned trying them without the manifold first. I don't know why I didn't think of that before. I guess I was too caught up in the "gear that I would need" mode. But I think I'll try doubling some al 80's some time doing it without the manifold to see how they feel too. Good advice.

Nope, never had any issues with the trim.

I guess all that I can suggest is that you make sure you are aware of "balancing the bubble".

I'm 6'1". Never had any trouble trimming out double HP80s. I just mount them a little low on the backplate.
