We've been seeing whale sharks regularly at the Snook site, Sogod Bay, S. Leyte... I was trying to get a nice close up of this one and nearly got ******-slapped by the suckers tail.

See the video at: http://www.yourfilehost.com/media.php?cat=video&file=MVI_1891.AVI
(it's a free host service so please excuse the crap)

Going back Wednesday one last time before heading home... I guess the full moon increases chances... I'll be sure to keep some distance this time.

I wish it was December already!!!!!

You know, there is a certain sense of achievement when you swim with them in zero vis, and your first view of a 10 metre whale shark is it's nose as it is about to slam into your head...

Nice pic :D

Nice video. Same thing happened to me in the Similans. Seems like the tail missed me by inches. But then again, I thought this guy was 20 feet long and I learned later he was about 12 feet long. Well, they say things do look bigger underwater, right?:D

Everyone should be aware that the "crap" associated with this "free" hosting site includes spyware. You can go there, but if you don't have a good spyware blocker be sure to run a spyware detector and killer after your visit.
