I want to remind everyone that is interested in my annual North Coast dive campout This year it is August 11th thru 14th at Ocean Cove Campground in Sonoma County.
This will be the 4th annual and I expect it to be the best ever.
We ab dive, tank dive, boat dive, kayak dive, shore dive, spearfish, cook what we get in the camp kitchen and basically have a ripping time.
This is a great opportunity to put some faces with names, swap a few lies around a campfire and drink some beer after a hard and fun day diving.
If you've never dove the north this would be an excellent time to start. There will be many experienced veterans that can show you the ropes.
We are a very friendly bunch and always enjoy introducing new people to the best diving in California.
In the past I've had people come from as far as Mobile Alabama. They were real party animals!
The only charges are the 16.00 per night for your car (they charge per vehicle) but they also don't care how many cars we stuff into a site. If you are bringing a boat there is an 8.00 ramp fee, (4x4 strongly recommended). They also charge for pets. Ocean Cove store has some basic groceries, ice, etc.
The nearest regular dive shop is Bodega Bay Pro Dive about 25 miles south on hwy 1.
The nearest air fills would be the True Value up in Gualala about 20 miles north. I recommend bringing as many tanks as you can fit in your car/truck, and all the dive gear you think you might need including spare gear. It is a remote spot and I hate to see someone miss out.
I'm sure the whole place will be a mad house so get there a few days early if you can so we can grab as many sites together as we can.
See you there!!
