Unfortunately I wasn't able to talk my non-diving friends into staying in the Bayahibe area (which I've been told is some of the best DR diving), so I'll be staying in Punta Cana.

What I'm trying to figure out now, based on the distance between the two locations, is it worth it to taxi over to Bayahibe every morning to dive with an operator there, or should I just stay in the Punta Cana area to dive. Also, if y'all think it's worth it to taxi over every morning, how long of a trip am I looking at? I've contacted Dressel to get some information from them, but I figured I'd rely on good 'ol SB for some advice and opinions.

If you want to come to Bayahibe every day for diving, I think would be cheaper to rent a car (if you can drive in this traffic). It takes about hour and half driving to get here.
What I've heard from our customers and from some people who worked in Punta Cana dive shops and now work here, the diving in Bayahibe is much better. Some of the dive ops from Punta Cana bring their customers here to dive.

Welcome a Board,
Promarine Watersport is located in Punta Cana and Bayahibe.
Frequently we organize excursions from Punta Cana to Bayahibe.
We are located in Catalonia Hotels.
Send a PM when you like to receive some more information.

Nice Dives
