Excellent point. But that still doesn't address the question of whether a can is more dangerous than a bottle to drink after diving.

Any alcohol consumption post dive can mask the symptoms of DCS. It's a good idea to refrain for several days post dive.
If you can fly the next day I think a few beers should be alright!
 
You are less likely to get your head broke open by a can. But there is the possibility of get getting but by the aluminum.

And a cut is preferable to a skull fracture, therefor, a can is much safer than a bottle for post dive consumption. EUREKA!!! We now have scientific proof. Great job Blitz:D
