Does any dive op in Grand Cayman offer unlimited shore diving?

Kind of like Blue Angel in Cozumel..you dive with them and you can just hop in the water there and dive all you want, no extra charge..

Sunset House does too, if you book a two-boat-dive-per-day package with them:

Scuba Diving Room and Dive Packages

To me, it always sounds as if "unlimited shore diving" would mean I'd be doing multiple shore dives each afternoon, in addition to the boat dives. But we were there for a week at the end of July, and at our age two boat dives in the morning are tiring enough for most days -- a cheeseburger and fries, a large Cay Brew beer, and a nap sound just fine after that. :D

We did one night shore dive in addition during the week, and I took the two kids out for a shore dive another afternoon.

Plus we did Stingray City another afternoon, but that was extra charge of course.

I do think Cobalt Coast (or possibly Lighthouse Point) is your best option for this type of thing. Divetech is at both places and you can shore dive at either site. As mentioned Sunset House is an option but IMO the shore diving is much more worn, the boat diving isn't as good from there, and the hotel isn't nearly as nice. But some people like it.

For the sake of completeness, Don Fosters does too, but that's a different arrangement - near downtown rather than on site at a hotel, so it's not "walk from your room to the water" shore diving. They're also a bigger op with lots of boats, have lots of cruise ship contracts, and I have no idea what their shore dive is like, so may not be what you're looking for.

Are you asking about your one day cruise dive(s)? Or going back at a different time?

Most of the recommended small boat operators in your other thread are based out of a marina so won't have any shore dive available. At Fosters in town (mentioned above) or possibly Eden Rock you could do both since your ship will be moored out front so getting back for the sailing isn't an issue. IDK if you could get to Sunset House early enough to get on their AM boat first, but that's an option. IIRC two tanks at Sunset House cost us something like $20. But we didn't boat dive there first.

The two shore diving sites for Cobalt Coast, Cobalt Coast Resort and Lighthouse Point are both very good to excellent shore diving sites. Sorry, but the alternative shore diving sites just do not match up. I do like Turtle Reef run by Sun Divers at the Cracked Conch Restaurant (this is easy and cheap). The mini wall to the north (right) is much better, but the dive to the south (left) has the huge collection of Tarpon in the small cave. I would consider a couple of dives here. The bar/restaurant at the site is not a bad end to a day of diving!!

Good shore diving on Grand Cayman,

Craig
