Does anyone have an underwater photo of an oxycheq 45 wing?

I am wondering how it looks underwater.

Do the inner baffles on the #45 reduce the taco effect when the wing has under 20lbs of lift in it or are they only a factor when the wing is close to full?

No photos, but from diving it, I would say that the "taco effect" is actually enhanced... going by how easy it is to access the lower dump compared to the pioneer.

I get the feeling that the bellows in the Pioneer tend to "pontoon" the "top" edge, while the Oxy would not tend to do this.

Again... no photos or second-party observation, just my impressions after about 10 or 12 dives on it.

Let me see if I can pull down a still from it and if so will post it here; another diver videoed me diving with one not all that long ago.

This shows pretty clearly the difference.... there is no aft "fat spot" in the wing; in fact, its "fat spot" is partway up the tank..... this is VERY unlike the Pioneer.

I can pull some other frames out if you'd like, but I think this one, from above, is probably the best perspective. Sorry about the small size; this wasn't my video and I don't have the original source material.

No, its not the 30 - although it looks like it underwater!

I own both. They dive IDENTICALLY. In fact, underwater I could not tell you which one I have on. Only above water, when I go to inflate to "ride on it" in rough seas, can I tell the difference.

I keep the 30 for friends who show up and want to dive it. The 45 is what I use when single-tank diving, because we do occasionally run into rough water around here and the extra lift on the surface is quite useful.

The 45, because on the surface I can "ride" it like a raft.

The 30 does not have enough lift to keep you clear of large rollers and small breakers on the surface. The 45 does.

Not a big deal if you have lots of gas and can keep the reg in. However, Murphy is a baztard and the one time you need it will be when you're low on gas or lose the boat and need to make a LOOONG surface swim in rough conditions.

Both have plenty of lift underwater for a single tank if you are properly weighted.

First, thank you to Genesis for the great photo.

With both the Oxycheq and Pioneer wings the bladders wrap the tank. Would they both trap air especially on the right side of the wing and make it difficult to vent air if a diver ascends horizontally such as during a shore dive or DIR method of ascending? Would it be a better design if a wing could be attached to the outside edge of the back plate somehow? I think this is what the Zeagle BP&W has done as shown in the first link.

I have not dove any of these wings. For those with a more experienced eye what differences are apparent in these photos. The oxycheq is a #45 and I think the pioneer is the #36.
