Nice work Shawn,

Took me 21 seconds to know exactly where you were shooting. Loved watching the bass backup and the shots under the dock where very cool.

this does sound very cool. but at $700-odd bucks (from the aquarena site) is a bit out of my pricerange. i've been diving aquarena and lake travis with my Flip UltraHD in an Ikelite 5610.02 housing, but had CONSIDERABLE trouble shooting anything USEABLE >_< what do you recommend, shawn? i will be diving the flower gardens in july, and would like to at least have some BASIC videography skills before then. my avid skills are already pretty sharp ...

You bring up a good point. This class is very comprehensive and complete with the price being due to the knowledge/practice extensiveness of 4 classroom instruction, plus 3 months of working together with my students to make sure they achieve the goals they set for themselves at the beginning of the class. The 50 page student handbook and making documentaries of real people and events. A whole lot fo 4 actual days of class and diving including the night diving lighting excercises, multi camera excercises and 3 point lighting techniques practiced underwater.

I have been talking to several people, and I am working on possibly doing a 2 day beginner class not going into the depth of this class but having value for people leaving on travel adventures.
