I've not gotten seasick yet, and the only time I've ever even felt the slightest bit queezy was in 6 foot seas on a 22 ft boat with a viscious hangover.

When the seas get rough, I've always just layed down on a bench and pretended I was in a auto-swing hammock. My experience so far is the rougher the seas, the better I sleep!

Im about 50/50 on a boat.If its fairly smooth im ok.When the boat gets to rocking though im pukin.

For the first time yesterday i actually got motion sickness while diving. This was a first for me.Although i didnt puke i came darn close.

We were diving in the far north part of monestary where all the kelp and rocks are to do some spearfishing. The depth around this spot is right about 20ft deep but great fpr spearfishing with all the rocks and kelp.My problem was that this was the worst surge i have ever dove in.It must of have had at least 10ft of powerful surge.I have dove in surgy waters before but never anything this bad. Finally my stomach got the worst of me and i surfaced. After surfacing the swells made me even sicker.Luckily i made it back in and crawled on to shore without tossing my cookies.

I get queasy on boats alot, but i have yet to throw up. I can usually control it pretty well. I don't like taking anything for it, because it really isn;t a problem and usually after I eat lunch I feel better....go figure....LOL.....when the ocean was really rough I justwent in my bunk and slept until we got to the harbor again...:)

I get very sea sick. Even swimming around the boat doesn't help me. I have to be at least 20 feet under and completely out of any swells (even little ones) to keep from getting sick.

What is Bonine? Where can I get it? And does it make anyone sleepy? I tried the patch once (on dry land) and couldn't walk or talk straight!

Been really sick on a boat but that was mainly because I fell asleep to close to the exhaust fumes and the smell of diesel really got to me, but once I got into the water...I felt a lot better.
The other time I really felt like yakking was when I went diving with an ear infection (not realising it and thought I just had a slight headache the night before) and I couldn't tell which way was up or down....and suffered the worst case of vertigo ever...but managed to surface relatively unscathed with my breakfast still digested.

FWIW, Dramamine (even Less Drowsy Formula) knocks me out whereas Bonine does not. I think they have the same active ingredients, but perhaps other ingredients vary...not sure. You may want to check it out or talk with a doctor.

Only once! My first boat dive after certification. Off the coast of Bermuda in what I remember as 4-5 foot seas. Everyone was hanging over the side and heaving. Once we got to the dive site, it was a scramble to get in the water so the world would stop rocking. hanen't gotten sick since but I do keep dramamine around if the seas look choppy.:(

So far, 6 to 7 foot swells just mean more food for me. However, I have had 1 motion sickness experience. The helicopter flight at the IMAX theater was getting to me. All that visual motion in a perfectly still seat was doing a number on my normally strong stomach. I stayed with it for a while just for the new experience and to make sure I was experiencing what I thought. Then I glanced away from the screen and all was fine. But I do feel sorry for the chummers - so I try not to eat in front of them. I think my wife/buddy really appreciates that.
