Perhaps some people who have homemade units can chime in... From what I heard, while these units look really rudimentary and not like something you'd dive, there are quality parts there that you can use. And no, I would not dive w one. Soviets were never known for respecting tolerance levels.
The seller has a lousy feedback profile too.
