Guys i jsut wanted to know the general consensus on whetehr you dive with your can lights all the time. dove with a 21w one last weekend during the day and found it weak even for signalling. it was different though on the night dive. thanks
 
Yes. Always. Day and night (of course, there's not much difference around here between the two).

here on the otherhand we have perfect viz 80% of the time. so i would consider it pointless to use it. i guess the light just couldnt compete with the sun.
 
Always. Day and night is not much different here either but I use it even for tropical diving, specially when taking photos...

Spoon, LOL! that's why I lent you my HID on the day dive and not the nite dive :wink:.

But given the crystal clear waters we had in Anilao that day, yes even a 21W doesn't do much unless you stick it in your buddy's face. But, afterwards when I was in PG and we had slightly less visibility at deeper depths, it does really bring out the color in the reef and more effective for signaling.
