The only similar thing I ever heard of, on the line -"need to dive" was back in 1975 when I was down in Venezuela doing a marine survey job. Anyway I contracted this local diving team and the guy driving the boat was around 84. There were a couple of young, healthy looking guys and they did all the shallow dives. When we got out to where things were getting a lot deeper, this old guy came away from the wheel and started getting kitted up.
This got me a little worried in terms of liability as he looked like he was near death even before he got in the water.
The team supervisor told me not to worry and that he was diving on doctor's orders as he suffered from arthritus and diving kept him loose. According to his doctor, the day he stopped diving regularly he would start to lock up.
Till today I don't know how much truth there was in this.

And a chamber ride is just another dive as well. You'll stir up another whole pile of microbubbles "at depth" again and have to deco them out on the ride... The chamber isn't magic...[/QUOTE]

So can I log my chamber ride I had this summer? :D
