Aggie Diver:
And same thing for the WAL - does anyone have an recommendations? Doesn't the PT-010 housing require a WAL adapter ring before you can add a wide angle?

Thanks.

There is a Type 1 and Type 2 Inon WAL. The only difference between them is the base that threads onto the housing.

The Type 1 will not fit the PT-010 without also changing the blue lens ring on the housing. That part is extra.

The type you need depends on the model camera that is in the PT-010. The C4000 requires the Type 1. The C4040 requires the Type 2. It has to do with "vingeting".

Another thing to keep in mind for using a close-up lens with the built in strobe. You have to get very close to the subject and the built in strobe will likely not cover the subject as it is too close to the lens. Thats why the internal strobe does not fire in the super macro mode.

You would likely have to use an external strobe for the close-up lens.
