Anyone tried to build their own strobe?

I've been searching the threads and haven't found anything yet.

Impossable? Can't believe none of you have tried it yet...

Kavka, any pics available for your ring strobe? What did you use for a housing? I've only just recently read about them, your project sounds very interesting. How were the results?
