I just bought a new Sea Dragon 2300F with the grip/micro tray set-up and was looking for a good protective traveling case for it, but couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. I also have a torch and other accessories and had a ton small cases I was always toting around — I was always losing track of stuff and it was driving me nuts! So I decided to make my own case — I’m so happy with how it turned out and it was so easy! Thought I’d post here if anyone is looking for some inspiration.

Materials and tools:
I just laid out the accessories where I wanted them, traced, and got to cutting! The tool box foam is super easier to work with and can be cut to different depths to accommodate different sized items. I wound up using 3 pieces laid on top of one another — my camera, light, and grip required cutting through 2 pieces of foam so the top would close. I hot glued all the layers together and also glued an additional piece to the top of the case to protect the lens which required an additional cutout. Once you get going, you’ll figure out what needs to be done — you just need the right tools, some time, patience, and imagination. Have fun!
