Has anybody made their own lead shot pouches? Its pretty cheap for lead shot.....and if you could get the pouches cheap it would be a steal? So any body's help is appreciated!

What do you plan to do with the pouches? Attach it to a BC? It will in many ways affect the design. Where will you attach it during a dive?

I'm sure you're talking about the actual weight pouch, ie 5lb, 4lb, 2lb, etc.
Yes, I have. My weight belt was going to cost me about a 125.00 when I first started, so I decided to make my own pouches, cost me about 40.00 and I have enough excess to make a LOT more.
I used uncoated cordura and bought #4 lead shot in 25lb bags. I used my dive buddies pouches as a template. I ordered the cordura from a guy in california, can't remember who and used my girlfriends sewing machine to make the pouches. Buy a heavy duty needle for woven fabrics and walk the machine( manually rotate the knob that moves the needle) through the thick parts. Also tell her that a professional upholsterer said it wont hurt the sewing machine as long as you walk it through the hard parts by hand.
Good luck,
Justin
