Hello scubaboard,

I made a DIY tray for my gopro out of PVC electrical conduit and have one major question: will it be better to allow the internals of the pipe and junction box with water, or will it be fine if i keep it completely sealed with air in there? My only concern was the pressure on the schedule 40 pipe at depth with air inside, and also the rig not being heavy enough and always trying hard to float to the top. Anyone have any experience with similar situations or just a general guess that can offer advise? Here is a photo for reference. Thanks in advance for the help.

Most trays I've seen either fill the pvc or have it open to water. If air is in there it will create some weird buoyancy characteristics and will likely be incredibly positive.
