DIY BC chest straps

I want to add a chest strap to my seaquest spectrum BCD. Any ideas? I was thinking of taking a nylon dog collar and cutting it in half, sowing each side to the BC and using the quick release for my strap? Any other ideas?

Find an REI, you can get the webbing and hardware for just about anything from them.

I don't see a reason why that wouldn't work.
