STOGEY:Has anyone been doing any diving near Cape Ann lately? If they have how's the visibility and temp been?
Did you go with CAD Matt? I was hemming and hawing over going with them, and in the end I hemmed out. I love Burnham's Ledge. I did a couple of dives there this summer, saw a TON of dogfish on those dives. On one of them there had to be 20 or so schooling below us on our safety stop! Even though they are small and basically harmless, its still a little unnerving to see so many schooling near you. Besides, everything, Dogfish included, looks bigger underwater. Pray for good weather for later this week as I am hoping to get to Cape Ann for a Christmas Eve dive!matt_unique:Did the Poling yesterday and the vis was 20' (crazy seas and wind). Today did the Poling again and Burnham's Ledge. Just about the same vis. Temp on the surface was 44 degrees and 46 degrees at depth.
Last weekend did a shore dive at Pebble and the seas were rough with 2' vis. Was using a DPV for the first time and we would cruise along until we crashed into a rock. The vis was really bad last weeked from shore.
