Diver A & B agreed to make a drift dive and to enter the water together at point X, and then exit the water together at point Y in 60 minutes.
Diver B has a Divemaster rating and had dived many times from our boat so we allowed them to go unsupervised.
After 55 min we positioned the boat at point Y and waited, and waited the wind was blowing us towards the reef so we motored out a way from the reef for safety and so we could see point Y and surrounding area more clearly.
Diver A then appears in totally the wrong place at the wrong time.
When he got back on the boat I asked him if he could look at his dive computer and tell me how long his dive was. I wanted him to look at his equipment displaying that he has spent too long on that dive.
He just shouted you aint even wearing a watch how do you know! he seems unaware that there are other devices for telling the time such as the mobile phone in my pocket and the galley (kitchen) clock that is visible from the dive platform.
Diver As computer read 66 minutes.
Three to four minutes later diver B appears 200 metres away in the other direction again not anywhere near point Y.
Once on board diver A keeps trying to justify his actions saying it was only 6 minutes, I have an under water photography speciality, I have known my buddy for a long time, I have over 1,000 dives, and that kind of thing.
Diver B kept quite.
What do you think?
