Planning to be in New Orleans on business in May, and wondered if there is anywhere within reach where I could spend a day diving....oil rigs sound great, but how do you get there ? Any suggestions ?

Venice is located about 2 hours from New Orleans and has some of the best diving the U.S. has to offer. You can find some dive charters out of Venice by going it www.rodnreel.com - All of the captians that run dive charters down there are very reputable. Don't miss out on rig diving - it is an increadible experince. However, if you can't book a dive trip snapper season just opened up and also they are starting to pull some nice tuna out of green canyon
