Always ascend slowly and in control.

Dive as much as you can, and practice, practice, practice!

Skills - eg on a safety stop try some of the skills done in OW class - out of air, mask removal and clear - that way you can improve without sacrificing the dive to drills.

Diving - just go (assuming it does not look dangerous!) - poor conditions can be good training, and will make you appreciate the best days more.

Read all you can on SB (so much good advice here for us noobs) and dont be ashamed to ask for advice or help from others. And and and ...Dive happy and often :)

Okie I cheated that was 2. Sorry

Keep learning—your training/learning should not stop automatically after you are certified.

Just what consitutes "Experenced Divers"? In Professional diving, 500 dives is a newbie!
My advice is get more bottom time...Dive often! The more You dive the more relaxed You will become and diving will become second nature to think everything through BEFORE doing it..........B

If you don't know, ask. Be it about the site or a new buddies gear. Its much easier on the surface then at depth.

Don't forget to turn your air on! ;)
