Deeper dives 100'-130', description is as described. I've never found anyone who would take me there, but I used to dive the Trysler Grounds from Gulf Shores, which was similar bottom. Don't expect to be swimming through trees, though. Deloach 9th lists it as an area of ancient reefs, some 12' high in 110' of water. Nitrox would help extend your bottom time. Spiny Lobster are out of season, but slippers can be taken year round (no egg-bearers, though). The area is also pocked with circular vertical holes, giving it its' name. (I dispute the petrified forest claim, as it was shallow reef during the last ice age - not forest). 35 mi ESE of Pensacola Pass Much closer to Destin/Navarre. Pack your Triptone!
